Our Story

Ancient Art,
Modern Kitchen

It all began when Desh baked his first sourdough loaf in his Toronto condo — hooked by the taste, the smell, the texture. Inspired by Michael Pollan's Cooked, that single loaf sparked something much larger.

Two weeks later, a neighbour's offhand idea — "why not teach people in the building?" — turned into a workshop. A community was born from flour and conversation.

What started in one building grew into a live online class reaching students across Canada. Every session is built on one belief: making bread by hand is an act of deep, lasting connection.

"Making sourdough bread is something that's helped me discover myself. There's real magic in making and breaking bread together."

A journey from raw ingredients to finished loaf — in four hours. You'll learn the tools of the trade, mix flour, water and salt, shape and score your dough, and walk away with something you made yourself.
